I’m Dr. Jaquel Patterson, nationally recognized naturopathic physician, immediate Past President of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Amazon Best-Seller and Forbes contributor. I run a multi-disciplinary medical practice, Fairfield Family Health, in Fairfield, CT providing both in-person and telemedicine services. I am passionate about Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections, autoimmune conditions and mental health, including childhood developmental disorders. When it comes to Women and Lyme disease, I understand just how you feel. I understand because as a naturopathic physician with a specialty in Lyme disease and other autoimmune disorders, I’ve felt the pain (and relief) of my patients who needed answers. I also understand because, prior to becoming a naturopathic doctor, I was a patient. I too had odd symptoms that were ignored and misdiagnosed. I felt the lack of concern from my healthcare provider, and suffered for years with undiagnosed Lyme Disease. In addition to my naturopathic medical degree from the University of Bridgeport, I have an MBA in Healthcare Management from Quinnipiac University and a bachelor’s of science from Cornell University. I also completed a fellowship for Functional Medicine Psychiatry and fellowship for Functional Medicine ADHD.
